Director Mark Waters following film will be a sci-fi comedy dealing with time travel. The protagonists from the new film will save the actual world…well, no, they will merely attempt to keep Yoko Ono away from Steve Lennon, so The Beatles won’t break up. To some, that *is* saving * the entire world. Or giving peace a chance.

Geeks Of Doom provides for us:

Mark Waters, director regarding Mean Girls, Freaky Comes to an end, and The Spiderwick Chronicles, is currently throughout line to helm Get Back, a new comedy about two devoted Beatles fans who discover a occasion machine and use it to travel back in time to change a major event inside John Lennonā€˜s life.

It’s any comedy, and I can see several potential out of it- but provided that the “die hard fans” (whom most likely won’t be in their own 20s) go back to see a concert or two they missed out on, or get an autograph for a collection- as well as indirectly change things accidentally such as John never meeting Yoko. Then there’s a controversy if this is for the better or worse. But as it holders all these two want to do can be stop the John-Yoko union, which doesn’t make sense.

Yoko also owns rights to John’s image/likeness, so that also could be a problem. That’s not part of the story; that’ersus a reality.

So, what do you think? Enthusiastic about Get Back’?
