The first official image of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man has been released, thanks to Columbia Pictures. Check out the total image after the jump.

Darkish, disheveled, and, um, skinny, is probably the best way to describe this first image of Claire Garfield as Spider-Man. He’s without the mask, which leaves us more to look forward to, and depending on that scar, as well as the appearance on his face, your iconic superhero has just been through one of the toughest battles of his young career since the webbed crusader.

He’s got a back pack slung over his neck, which is there to advise us that this is the starting — this is Peter Parker in high school graduation, dealing with these new capabilities and learning about being Spider-Man as they goes, finding it may not be almost all it’s cracked up to always be. He’s weak; he doesn’t get it yet. As far as your suit goes, it looks up to date, but still familiar enough regarding fans. We like the lack of muscle tissues and frenetic spider graphic about his chest, as if she has no clue what he is or even what he’s doing.
